Grain.

The way the hair grows on your face. Think about petting a cat. You rub one way it is soft. The other, it is rough.

You grow hair much the same way. Rub your face. Now go in a different direction. One way way will be smooth. The other rough. This is the grain of your face.


WTG- With The Grain. This means to shave in the same way the hair grows. The "smooth" way.

ATG- Against The Grain. This means to shave the opposite way the hair grows. The "rough" way.

XTG- Across The Grain. This means to shave sideways of the hair growth.

If ASB is the abbreviation for After Shave Balm, what is the abbreviation for After Shave Splash?
